Start by cutting your bread into bite-sized cubes. Aim for uniform pieces so they cook evenly. If your bread is fresh, let it sit out for a few hours or lightly toast it in the oven to dry it out.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). This temperature allows the croutons to crisp up without burning.
In a large bowl, combine melted butter and olive oil. Add garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, salt, pepper, paprika, and oregano. Mix well until all spices are evenly distributed.
Add the bread cubes to the bowl and toss gently until every piece is coated with the butter and seasoning mixture. Make sure the cubes are evenly covered for consistent flavor.
Spread the coated bread cubes in a single layer on a baking sheet. Avoid overcrowding, as this can prevent proper crisping.
Place the tray in the oven and bake for 12–15 minutes. Halfway through, toss the croutons to ensure even browning. Keep an eye on them to avoid burning.
Once golden brown and crispy, remove the croutons from the oven and let them cool. They will become even crispier as they cool down.
